Liberty Savings Bank IdentitySecureSM

Introduction

Founded in 1889 in Highland County, Ohio, Liberty Savings Bank, F.S.B. was initiated by a group of local businessmen. They combined their funds and created the Lynchburg Building and Loan Association. The goal of this company was to meet home ownership demands within the community. The bank was subsequently strengthened by additional business mergers.

A merger in the late 1960s with Superior Loan and building created the Highland Savings Association. This allowed the company to continue its growth and a third office was opened in Clinton County, Ohio. At that time, the company changed its name to Liberty Savings Association. The name changed, once again, in 1984 when the company was acquired by James R. Powell. It was now to known as the Liberty Savings Bank which was designated as a Federal Savings Bank. As a Federal Savings Bank, the company was now able to offer a wider variety of services. With an expansion to three additional states, Liberty Savings Bank now serves communities in Florida, Ohio, Colorado and South Carolina with over 30 Financial Centers.
