Norton LifeLock Review 2024 - Is it worth it?

Norton is the most trusted name in online consumer safety and security. But is it as reliable when it comes to their identity theft protection services?

Overall, LifeLock is a highly scalable service that protects clients’ identities against virtually all known threats. I tried the service myself and I’ve compiled my findings in a comprehensive Norton LifeLock review.

Norton Lifelock Review

Norton LifeLock offers three levels of protection plans (Select, Advantage, and Ultimate Plus) that will give you access to unique features and options focused on your individual needs:

Best Use of LifeLock and its Features

Norton LifeLock shows you when you’re at increased risk, keeps you safe from the latest threats, and helps protect you against cybercrime. It helps you understand real threats from false positives so you can make informed decisions about your cybersecurity.

LifeLock offers a wide range of protective services designed to keep your information safe from identity theft. They will help protect your identity and personal information with multiple credit monitoring systems.

I was impressed with the nice interface and the presentation of their services. The app is professional and has a lot of functions. It made me feel there was a well-established company protecting my personal information.

At first glance, LifeLock seemed like a solid competitor for other identity theft protection services, with credit monitoring and crime prevention features, but other solutions as well. They provided me with complete protection and monitored all my bank accounts for fraud. This included my credit, checking, and savings accounts.

I enjoyed the advanced protection for all my devices. Browsing anonymously and securely with their VPN or their bank-grade encryption kept my sensitive information safe from prying eyes.

LifeLock would reimburse me in the event that someone stole my identity, which is the case with most companies in this industry. However, the best identity theft protection solutions, such as Identity Guard, cover all subscribers for up to $1 million in stolen funds. LifeLock’s most basic level of coverage only reimburses the victim for up to $25,000 in financial damages.

Customer Service

LifeLock support is available by phone 24/7 or through the mobile app. You can submit a message in the app at any time, and typically receive a response within 10-15 minutes.

Their customer service representatives are knowledgeable and helpful. They were happy to answer my questions and assist with issues I encountered.

Privacy

LifeLock gathers personal details to verify an individual’s identity. They use encryption technology to protect sensitive information while it’s in transit and during storage.

Due to the fact that it is headquartered in the United States, this provider is subject to international alliances that legally oblige them to hand over data under certain circumstances.

In 2010, the FTC fined LifeLock for breaking a previous agreement by failing to keep customers’ data safe. In 2015, LifeLock was ordered by a federal court to pay back its customers a total of $100 million because it failed to follow an order made by the FTC two years prior.

While there are some concerns about privacy, LifeLock updates its protection to keep up with the latest cyber threats. On the plus side, this service offers two-factor authentication options that require a passcode or biometric data to sign in.

User Experience

The LifeLock dashboard allowed me to personalize and manage all of my account settings and protection options in a fast and interactive way. I could turn features on and off in a click, and take action when their proactive alerts told me about possible identity theft.

Adding my banking credentials to the app was simple and allowed me to track my transactions at any time.

The Bottom Line

LifeLock’s identity theft protection services are an all-encompassing way to keep you and your family safe from the dangers of identity theft. LifeLock takes the hassle out of identity theft protection. They not only know what they’re doing, but they also make sure you understand.

Norton is a well-known brand, but that’s just the beginning of what makes their app different. It is an industry leader in identity theft protection services. With LifeLock, you can access your reports and credit score, lock and unlock your credit cards, shop safely online, and more.
